It only took 3 1/2 months, but Mr. Groom finally picked his groomsmen. He chose five and I'm really happy for his reasoning in choosing 5. He wanted our processional to be balanced so he thought five would be great because the best man and MOH could walk together and then 1 boy for every 2 girls. Since he didn't want 9 like I'm having, this will work out super and it'll make the guys look like pimps! Even though I love things to be balanced, I think Mr. Groom is making me see outside of the box a little. It doesn't have to be perfectly balanced (with nine on both sides), but we can make it balanced in our own way. I love our bridal party and I'm thrilled to have all the wonderful people take part in our big day.

Since Mr. Groom and I are trying to save money these days for the wedding, we are not going out to eat as much (or at all). I decided last night that I would make our own surprise date night. Since we love sushi, I went and bought a couple sushi rolls from a local restaurant (I went to Pomegranate Cafe becuase I had a 10% off coupon). I saved money by not eating at the restaurant and having to pay a tip and since I made extra food at home, I only bought a couple rolls whereas we'd buy 7 if we ate there. I bought some sake ($13 for a bottle instead of $10 for a couple shots) and I made asian chicken with rice when I got home. Mr. Groom works late these days so I had everything set up when he got home on little white square plates and I finally used our sushi set that I've had for years. He loved it and it was a nice "going out at home" dinner. We ended up having too much food: salad, 3 sushi rolls, chicken, rice and miso soup! It was a lot of fun and even romantic.
